Gillian Hanson is the Founder & Creative Director of Honeycomb Salon in San Francisco. Featured in Allure Magazine's "Best of San Francisco" salon directory, she is the expert colorist, hair stylist and makeup artist behind some of San Francisco’s most innovative & artistic residents.
Gillian first discovered her passion for the beauty industry in early childhood watching her grandmother do shampoo-sets and fancy updos in her small town hair salon in Kansas. A born performer, Gillian went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts, where she learned the transformative art of makeup & wigs for the stage.
An observant listener with an in-depth understanding of classical design, color, light, texture & shape, Gillian takes a personal and holistic approach with her clients, recognizing that every individual has a unique way of expressing themselves.
